Sørfinnset skole/ the nord land: It has been wet and windy, but the forecast tempts with lighter weather for Saturday.So, the table will be set outside for the annual summer party at Sørfinnset skole and as usual everything is free and packed full of surprises. The bonfire will be burning hot, the bar smoothly running and the cooking OVERFLOWING at the schoolyard.

Karolin will conjure drinks in the Granbar (Spruce-bar). 'Skrømt' makes its comeback this year for all the dry throats in the land. Coffee and tea is also always appropriate to keep up the spirits.
Other liquors shall be brought along to be enjoyed and shared.
The main plate this year will be Curanto,a traditional meal from Chile, cooked in a pot hole (in the ground). Accompanied by hot Thai soup with fishballs handmade at the school with fresh fish from the fjord of Sørfinnset + infinite bretzels + Helgas sweet baked goods and more...
The Birch stage will be visited this time by Center of the Universe, a popstar flying low from Oslo
Alongside this performance there will be Pomassl from Vienna, Diego in town, Hard Times Are Over, and from Moss we have DJ Sotofett with Double Moss, Hot Dogs in Waffles and Berthas Fat spray. One surprise comes seldom alone. The stage is open.
It wont only be the mosquitos keeping people moving as some hot Cueca rythms from the west coast of South America will be mixed up to shake the dance floor.
There has been high creativity levels at school this week, so for the summer party there will be presentations from several projects by the artists Juan Pablo Langlois Vicuña, Juan Castillo, Gry Hege Johansens results from the botanical walk and Hans Hamid Rasmussens Dialogos for Sørfinnset + drawings from Ina Eriksens summerschool for kids and a bone shaking exhibition in the kunsthall.
The Hikki-tent sauna, by Per Enoksson, will be warm and the outside Fireplace waiting from 20 o clock on...
